Food for Thought Bakery sells a wide range of hand made products.
Whether you want to buy just bread and cakes or enjoy our top quality bakery roasted meats, order and take away a filled sandwich or salad, you will notice the difference. Made to our high specification, everything is fresh and delicious. With a wide range of cake slices, as well as scones and cookies, our cake counter should have a treat for everyone. Made to our own special recipes, there are many traditional favourites as well as some bakery specials. There is also a choice of 6” Victoria sandwich cakes.
Celebration cakes are made to order.

We make all our bread fresh daily - the choice includes 3 different brown loaves: wholemeal, wholegrain (granary) and white-gold (a smooth, tasty light brown) as well as traditional white. We have added a Boozy Sourdough to our weekly repertoire and it is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
There are cheese-topped foccaccias and a bread-of-the-week which, as its name implies, changes.
English sticks (traditional shape but they stay fresh all day) and wholegrain (granary) sticks are accompanied by our beautiful semolina-coated rolls, as well as brown and white batons and baps to give a wide range of options for your filled take-away lunch.
We roast our own butcher-supplied meats for tasty fillings and together with the coleslaw, potato salad, Waldorf and coronation chicken that we make (plus others in the summer), you can buy all the elements you need to take home and create your own...
Pies and pasties, as well as quiche, flans and paté are on our deli counter together with a wide range of English cheeses.
A large and varied take-away menu with hot and cold sandwiches (and rolls), filled jackets, omelettes and salads means there is a choice for all. You can choose in the shop or phone first before collecting. Ordered sandwiches can be delivered to companies (phone for details).
We stock Tyrells crisps (they meet our testing quality/additive free criteria), as well as a wide range of drinks.
